Hey there, research community!

A colleague of mine at Intuit is seeking a researcher to join the QuickBooks Financing team for a minimum 6-month term. I’ve pasted more details about the team and role below. If you have any questions or interest, please reach out to Kirsten Disse at
About QuickBooks Financing: We’re a small, feisty, cross-functional team within Intuit which moves fast and punches way above its weight. We’re on a mission to revolutionize small business financing – with a vision to meet QuickBooks small businesses where ever they are, and help with whatever they need – from working capital to growth opportunities, demystifying financing and being active partners in customers’ success. We currently have 2 projects – a marketplace of vetted partners where QB customers can ‘shop the lenders’ safe in the knowledge that they are dealing with reputable organizations. The marketplace has been running for around 3 years, re-designed & relaunched in October 2016. We have another major initiative about to launch and we have lots of other big ideas, it’s a very exciting time. We’re breaking new ground for Intuit with a large risk / analytics team who are diving deeper than ever before into financial insights and customer delight opportunities.
About the role: We need a visionary researcher to step into the milieu – orchestrate and guide existing research activity across XD / PM / Marketing but with an overarching goal to help evolve our financing service suite. There are surveys, Follow-Me-Homes, a range of marketing / quant / qual / empathy activities already in flight. Some of the current research goals are tactical but we also want someone to be our go-to for customer voice and dive deep into the domain, take a leadership position on strategic direction and help inform our plans for the future.
  • Length of contract: six months initially though we will hope to convert to FTE should everything go well
  • Days/hours: full time, desk & equipment provided in MTV. Generally 1 to 2 days per week remote is fine depending on project needs / circumstance
  • Travel: Mainly local to MTV office – I don’t see a need for national travel at this stage
  • Budget: TBD, competitive
