Product Design Research Intern

The Role
The UX Research team is part of the larger Product Design Team. Together we work on shaping, designing, and defining unique, user-centered experiences for our customers. We work closely with product managers and engineering to make sure that what we are building is answering real customer needs.
As an intern on this team, you will have a meaningful and tangible impact on UX research studies from start to finish (from data collection to final reporting). It will also be a great opportunity to explore what a career in UX design, UX research, or UX recruiting would look like!

You Will:

  • Partner closely with Lead UX researcher to assist in conducting design studies and research sessions
  • Be the logistics guru for all studies- partaking in the selection of participants and owning the set up for these studies
  • Take extensive notes during research sessions that will enable you to draw impactful insights
  • Analyze and aggregate this data to create action oriented reports
  • Present your findings to our UX and Design leaders
  • Work cross functionally within Medallia, partnering with product and marketing teams

Minimum Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a BS or BA as an undergrad at a four year university
  • Strong written communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Majors: Anthropology, Psychology, Writing, Design or HCI
  • Strong organization skills
  • Interest in learning about the UX design process
  • Passionate about problem solving
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects while staying organized
