LingoAce is looking for a Director of Product Design to lead the charge in leveling up the UX across our fast growing K12 EdTech product line worldwide. This leader will own product design for our global design teams in U.S., Southeast Asia, China and more. This is a chance to build a next-gen learning product with the backing of a multinational corporation and strong capital support while maintaining the innovative culture of a Bay Area startup. We are looking for an experienced Product Design Leader who is obsessed with transcending the established to create a legacy in a fast-growing company.
As we are building our regional design teams, this position will be a founding leadership role. You will:
- Lead/build the product design function and global team of product designers
- Reimagine how LingoAce products work, look, and feel to suit the US and global markets and their demanding and diverse user demographics
- Lead the design of components, features, and layouts with a focus on Parent, Student, and Teacher usability
- Develop new products in collaboration with our Product and Curriculum teams to expand our product pipeline and promote a sense of fun and engagement with language learning and other content for all young learners
- Elevate our Product Design function in the US, SEA, and across the org
- Bridge the regional teams across the world
Requirements
- A passion for working in the digital Product space
- 8+ years of proven and effective people management experience with a Product Design team
- Incredibly strong design portfolio with examples of UX and strategic thinking.
- A strong understanding of user-centered design principles and design thinking practices.
- Demonstrated expertise in high-level product design strategy.
- Design experiences that are simple, elegant, and progressive.
- Contribute to a unique design culture and attract world class talent.
- Bilingual in Mandarin Chinese and English
- BONUS- Experience with K12 learning
